Only a handfull of women's basketball teams actually make money. Unless we become a national powerhouse and sell out the Cajundome for women's basketball games, our team will NEVER make money.
And with all due respect, making money off of football is a very possible and is also the very KEY to a successful atheltics program. With extra revenues from football, an athletic department is able to invest in other sports that lose money like women's basketball.
Finally, the women's budget and men's budget are not even close. You are correct. But in looking at the data that has been provided by yours truly, it is easy to see why it is so. If women's programs would actually be a potential source of revenue, I GUARANTEE you that the money dedicated to men's sports would be thrown into women's sports VERY quickly.

NOOOOO...pay him before it is too late! I promise I will go to the games and I will never drink a beer again at the Mens games(well maybe not that)....but NOOOO dont let him go!

Pay him and lets make a tradition of winning and not fall back into the same rut the Ladys team was in before he got here.
We have started to renovate and build new facilitys for our athletes but it all starts with coaching. Without them we will have above average facilities and below average teams.
