Even Boise couldn't keep their guys. It's just the nature of the game. What Napier is doing however, is showing everybody that the intangibles here are through the roof, and the list of applicants for this job will be even better than when Hud left.
I'm just praying for 2 more signing classes with Nape before he cashes in.
I must watch a different team than you. We are devoid of playmakers on the defensive side of the ball and only have a few difference makers on the entire team. If we are lucky we will have a few more in this years class.
The way this team is currently constructed we cannot beat a P5 team unless they are in a complete rebuild mode like a Kansas or Arkansas.
I expect the path to having a serviceable defense will be difficult and may take a couple of years. At this point I am actually more worried about UL being mediocre in football than someone taking our coach. If Napier can develop a QB and somehow fill all the holes we have on defense this year I will start worrying about losing him to a high profile program.
Re: 247 recruiting write up
I want every coach we hire to recruit better than his predecessors. IMO to be most successful as a stepping stone program we need a staff to stay together for 3-4 years and then get hired away.

It’s exactly the same. I will not jump to conclusions this time. Let’s see if this staff can improve and beat a few good teams. I still don’t think the talent level is even close to G5 powers.
