Once the stadium renovation is done, the party will be in the stadium, not in the tailgate area. This will be true especially for night games.
Another reason to avoid daytime kickoffs.

Why is it all or nothing? In any cULture there are positives and negatives? I am not saying leaving at halftime is negative or positive, just the statement of embracing a cULture is all or nothing.
I embrace the cULture of the Confederate flag and southerners, but I sure as hell don't support slavery.
It is not unreasonable at all to have a scan ticket out scan ticket back in policy either. When we become big time then we can start acting big time. This aint Mizzou or any other P5 school. Last years average attendance was in the 17k range. Lets get it to 30 something before you start running off any segment of that number. This new policy will only create more people hanging out for the entire 2nd half at the TG more than anything else.
This may keep some people at the games instead of leaving.

Ultimately this comes down to liability. IF an incident occurs inside the stadium and they have not adopted standard safety protocols that are widely adopted by other similar organizations it will open them up to greater liability. It is never wise to be out of step with your peers when it comes to safety and security.
At this stage re-entry and clear bags are now policy for all NCAA sanctioned championships, NFL games, FIFA championships, and the vast majority of college sports venues. It simple would not be wise to be out of step with what others are doing.
I think a tribute to Aretha Franklin is now definitely in order at the half. That should keep all butts in the seats. Might hurt concessions sales though.
