UL taking time to get it right with Cajuns mascot

If we want to throw caution to the wind we could go with an "anti-mascot" mascot (sort of like a heel in the pro wrestling world). Picture with me a living statue General Mouton accompanied by a colorful and comical crew of vigilantes. They could wiPleaselly drive Cajun fans and assorted stragglers from the tail gates into the stadium prior to kick off. Should our Cajun football squad lose momentum, General Mouton and his vigilantes could arrive to playfully berate and lash at them. Win or lose this would get us noticed. To appease Turb, the student selected to portray General Mouton should have a strong jaw line.

Heck, I don't care if we have a Dung Beetle mascot wearing a red and white thong. Just win!

The only legit answer (and I'm serious) is to bring back a real live "Cajun Man" mascot like Wv does with "mountain man"! It would be very unique and great. Don't understand where the idea of a menacing Pepper came from, first one looked like an evil fruit of the loom character.

its crazy and terrible because it is new.

if standford were to introduce their cardinal mascot today, they would get laughed out of fbs. if western kentucky introduced the blob today it would get voted down with the quickness. those are two of the most recognizable mascots out there in todays world. im okay with cayenne as long as they get it right (stay away from the dildo look)

Pichouette, the Ragin Cajun Dancin' Boudin Ball, would have shapely legs shod in white majorette boots. She could wear red, white, or black stockings to complement the game day uniform. She would sport a rustic straw hat and have a tart little fleur de lis singed on her lower right posterior. Should she topple performing her lively antics part of the game day excitement would be watching her roll around as she attempts to get her legs under her to rise. She would be the "little boudin ball who could". No dung beetle required.
