Re: Cajuns' coach won't make hasty decision on OC search
Shelby Christy will be a huge player for us in 2016. Mark my words.

While I didn't agree with the kangaroo armed offense of the past season I would be more worried if Hud went in the opposite direction of his statement.

At least ONE BIG BRUISING FULLBACK, eh? Also, a few steamrolling, pancaking HUGE/QUICK offensive/defensive linemen, not to mention some cover corners and quick-route-running-receivers-with-glue-like-hands!

That's our best hope. I also hope he has extensive QB/WR position coaching skills, that regardless of what Hud commands be done, the guy can help develop the players in learning the little details.
I may be on Hud's butt for some coaching brain lock at times. But this is his program to run, and he definitely needs an OC that works in sync with him. Whatever we're going to get out of Hud going forward will require all of the coaches, on offense, being on the same page with Hud.
Agreed.
HUD brought this football team a 4-year run like has never been experienced at this university, not even close. (Yes, I realize Stokley had some teams with impressive runs considering they played more "big" teams, and there was just less bowl opportunities back then). He helped bring a bit of national attention to the football team that has never really been seen in Lafayette.
Therefore, whether we agree with his coaching, assessments, and management style or not, HUD has earned enough cred to guide this team exactly has he wants. The Cajun football program, along with HUD's future coaching stock (he wants to move up to a big-time program, so he needs to be successful here), with either sink or swim with his philosophy.
I'm hoping 2015 was just a major hiccup.

I'm with you. I don't think anyone in the sunbelt can cover him. Just hope we can get him the ball.

Cue Walter Williams. Isn't he coming back? He's not a FB, but an Alonzo 2.0. It should help the Prophet if he decides to stay.
