As more and more people with contacts in the administration, even supporters, keep saying T-Joe will not do that. His supporters say its because he is too classy to rub it in Bruno's face. Others say he is too political and won't rock the boat. Another faction believes doesn't have the spine to stand up to Bruno and really fight for this. Maybe that last is what Benson meant when he stated that we should take up our name issues with Dr. Savoie.

Don't underestimate T-Joe. The other day when I posed this question to him... he slowly turned his head toward me... as his face contorted maniacally... and he growled, "Revenge is best served cold... with a severed hawk's head.".

I think the "face contorted maniacally" was from his thong riding up on him and not from what you said. I could be wrong.

I'm of the small faction that believes our president did not spend his lifetime working towards just being the president of our university. He won't do anything politically to hurt UL, but at some point when it comes to the name, it will be lead, follow or get out the way. And I feel T-Joe did not spend a life time to follow or get out the way.
It will all depend on the timing. For example, after Johnny Football drops a deuce in the Tiger's punchbowl tomorrow night, they will have their panties in a wad and have a need to dominate someone in some form. What better way than slam UL on the name change to inflate their ego. Timing...possibly lousy next week. If the hoax had not fell apart earlier AND we got traction on the UL name, you know TNS was holding that story out for this week coming. But again, timing.

I have faith we will get the name UL accepted, just it isn't a snap your fingers and "poof" it happens situation.

I disagree. We need to take the high road and call them what they want to be called
"ULM"

I just hope we don't play nice guy and put Cajuns - warhawks on the scoreboard. How did they respond for our visit last year? ULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL - ULM. I don't know about you, but that seems on par with having someone slap you in the face while they stand in front of you laugh afterwards.
