Re: In-Game Thread: Louisiana vs. Boise State
Since Stevie P isn't on RP, and most on this board won't be listening anyway, I'll fill in.......
REPEAT AFTER ME:
1. LARGE sample size!!
2. We're a YOUNG team!
3. It's NOT a conference game, so it's not important.
4. ALL our goals are STILL in front of us!!
5. Our GOAL is to win the SunBelt!!
Re: In-Game Thread: Louisiana vs. Boise State
Again.. If you cant COMPETE with a 25-30 ranked team at home.. What's the point?
This latest debacle was on coaching, plain and simple. I felt like it was 2015 all over again.

This is a pretty good Mountain West team. P5 and G5 was made up by the networks and money conferences, not by players actually on the field. With 85 scholarships there are enough really good players to create the Boise States, TCU's Utahs, and Houstons'. Granted TCU and Utah have moved to money conferences but they made their way in the so called little conferences.
As I stated in another thread losing to Boise in your first game isn't necessarily a bad thing. Oregon lost then went on to win the PAC, Virginia Tech lost then won the ACC, Georgia lost and won the SEC. Have faith in your team and go and win the Sun Belt!

Come on man, we didn't just lose, WE GOT BLOWN OFF THE FIELD while other SBC teams looked like they belonged with the SEC team on the field.
I can take a loss where we left it all on the field, but we constantly get embarrassed and look like we don't belong in FBS.

Any loss is tough but we are blessed with a QB that WILL be playing on Sunday. Not many of those kind of guys around. We had that with Kellen Moore and now with Rypien. QB in the college game makes a huge difference. Houston is blessed with a special QB as well.

Losing isn't the issue, I expected to lose, but this wasn't a loss, this was a nuclear meltown. Aside from punting, I saw exactly zero to make me think that this team could rebound this year. That said, usually in blowout losses, I get petty (I'm a fan, what can I say), but honestly, I can't look at a single thing that the broncos did today that made me think anything negative of your program, team, or fans. Seriously, I hope yall run the table, get to the playoffs and make some noise for all of us G5 schools out there.
Re: In-Game Thread: Louisiana vs. Boise State
I saw a very good Boise State team and there fans were impressed by our hospitality. Our QB is salvageable 33 passes no recorded int. Both lines ----- balls. We can't run or stop the run much less put pressure on the qb. At one point we had two down linemen what the what. Our coaches are to blame for this. You can't run an Auburn Def with UL/sunbelt talent. Its going to be a long season. Oh and whomever decided to play at 1100 in South Louisiana heat needs a psychological evaluation.
