The N.O. Bowl rep was at the get together tonight and referred to us as Louisiana-Lafayette.

Ok, I'm an RCAF member and did not reserve tickets. Where do I stand..can I still get tickets ahead of non RCAF Members without having to wait in the back of the line?

Re: Cajuns thrilled with bowl invitation
As a teacher in Baton Rouge, any time that a student or co-worker mentions UL, they call us "Lafayette"... Not UL-Lafayette... just Lafayette. Its a problem, and bowl exposure of the names "UL" and "Louisiana" are a must.

Cajuns, New Orleans Bowl both celebrating
Paul Valteau and Billy Ferrante have been involved with the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl since it started in 2001, and they’ve passed out official invitations 20 times during that 10-game span. But neither had seen anything like the reception they got ...

Leeman, you may very well be behind the first line but in front of the second line. Those that had faith and put down a $30.00 non-refundable deposit should be rewarded for their early commitment. But the reality is that I'm not sure where you might stand in this situation!

Since you are a teacher, it appears you need to do a little better job of educating those little people on the other side of that big bridge 60 miles east of here!!! LOL!!!

Re: So, who are we gonna play?
Someone mentioned Houston not getting into the BCS because of Boise St. Houston would get an automatic bid if they stay undefeated... its not a choice, its contractual. Only way for Boise St. to get in is as an at-large, which won't happen. They did not win their conference.

Most of my co-workers here in BR call us "U.L.L.", Oh La La, or just "Cajuns" to be honest. Never get called UL or Louisiana by the locals.

Re: WKU fans not happy about our bowl invite lol
Leave them alone. They wont be nearly as good without rainey running for them.

That's great!!! I just checked the week of December 19th and couldn't locate any flights to San Diego from Ruston International! However I did find flights from Shreveport for as low as $595.00. Of course that doesn't include extra charges for luggage. But on second thought, the few Tech fans that will make the trip will probably just stay in their camo for the duration of their stay in San Diego and can save those fees. Due to the seperation that Tech has established between themselves and the rest of the other schools in this State, I bet you will have almost 200 fans make that trip. But don't worry about a poor showing because if y'all pack your bags real well, y'all can probably fit a few of your blue tarps in a suitcase!!!

Don't worry the cameras will protect their _____ from the few people there and show close ups so as not to show the sparse crowd!!!

Their fans have been disguising themselves as empty seats for years...and believe me, their all gonna be making a huge road trip to the other side of the planet for that great regional bowl that the WAC provides. HAHAHAHAHAH

We're going bowling! - Opelousas Daily World
The paperwork for what will be the UL Ragin' Cajuns' first postseason game since 1970 was formally delivered Monday night to Mark Hudspeth — attached to the end of a red-and-white rope. How fitting. The Cajuns have been pulling on one ...

Please explain why Houston and not Boise St. Boise St. is ranked ahead of Houston in the BCS poll.

My dad is sleeping so . . .
Google translate: "Peinture Rouge Trimestre"
Yahoo translate: "Peignez le Quart Rouge"
. . . I mean this is the French Quarter. :)

Re: WKU fans not happy about our bowl invite lol
It's good to see that false sense of superiority common amongst some of their fan base get deflated a bit. And it's got to be a lot tougher for the WKU people given how they were one of the better I-AA programs not too long ago. And I agree with AstroCajun, they'll drop a ton talent-wise once they don't have Rainey in their backfield.
-
Re: WKU fans not happy about our bowl invite lol
WKU will be at the top half of the conference for the next couple of three years if their recent recruiting classes pan out.
If I'm not mistaken they've had top ranked classes the past few years. Losing Rainey will hurt them though, I do agree. We haven't had a real running game since Fenroy left.

Re: N.O. Bowl Hotels: Where are you staying?
We will be at the Crowne Plaza on Canal St. as well. Get a cout down going after Arizona!
