Re: Live Game Talk: Louisiana vs. Northwestern State
Johnson had 2 drops that I remember. Both weren’t good passes, both should’ve been caught. He is still the biggest mismatch on the field. It’s not even really close either.

Which is why I was hoping to see him work the seams. Kind of ala Ladarius Green

I listened to the Rage and the guy doing the highlight recap butcher the name Wooldridge. How you get Wilridge from Wooldridge is beyond me.
But sidenote on the game, something seemed wrong with either tge ref mics or their volume on the video board. Maybe it was just the sound engineer not paying attention and letting the music blare over them.
Re: Louisiana Rolls 38-13 Over Northwestern State
My question is…..in post-game retrospect…how many point did we leave on the field? How many points did we give away? My guess? We should’ve won 48-10

You're right, Ben threw a couple nice deep balls but they were also uncovered.
It's just a little concerning that you can't establish the run better against a team like NWSU especially when you average 320 pounds per man.
Disagree. We had 17 runs of 5 yards or more on 34 carries, so 50%. We ran the ball consistently well yesterday. A 44% completion percentage with as many attempts as we had will stall a lot of drives. Like Rainman I'm thinking this had more to do with the situation and just testing options than an actual gameplan we would utilize in a competitive game.

My hunch is, that with more focus on the running game, the NW pass rush would not have been AS effective.

I wish the game management folks, or anyone with the admin, would just take a look at the crowd. We blare out the music to annoying levels, sometimes not only drowning out the band, but often drowning out the crowd itself just as people start making noise. Which is the most concerning: the unpleasant music often kills the very enthusiasm the music is supposed to stimulate.
At the same time, I very rarely see anyone getting fired up about the music. We are subjected to painful levels of speaker output, and as far as I can tell, it's not doing anything.
Or perhaps it's just not doing anything positive. We used to have the loudest crowds in college sports. I wonder if the acoustic abuse from the PA system has crushed that?
And from there, I wonder if the suppressed crowd enthusiasm has hurt attendance...

One thing that stands out when I look at stats. 4-14 in third down efficiency. We must do a lot better than thiss.

They did cut it back a notch in the dome, so maybe one of the MH gang will address this. Or maybe they play it that loud so it’s just noise, where the lyrics aren’t discernible.

LSUE doesn't have a basketball program anymore. Maybe UL should have tried to get one of those basketball guys to convert to football. See Antonio Gates
