2019 Cajuns Baseball Lineup???

A lot of folks I respect are telling me Dalton is the real deal, Young has out of this world potential and Gunner will be Gunner. I’m just not allowing myself to buy into that. I don’t think anyone in the bullpen should be relied upon heavily from this year’s team if we’re going to make a post season return.

The lineup is a complete and total guess at this point. If we’re able to land one of the two guys rumored to be interested in JT’s job, I’ll feel better, but still can’t expect immediate results with a brand new system/approach/personnel.

Starting Rotation? Not a single clue
Lineup? No idea
Bullpen? Overhaul
Defensively? Outside of 2-3 guys, guessing
Coaching Staff? Fluid situation

And oh btw, another stout schedule in 2019.

I agree with your decision. Having said that, that coaching search thread was the funnest time. I had the flu and was glued to the thread.

Who cares? That coaching search was the funnest ride I've ever been on. The thing about job candidates is that there are several of them and the decision is up to the man. I'd kill to know who was interested though and what are the impressions from other coaches around the country on this program.

It’s an attractive job for sure. Put it to you this way: three of our past hitting coaches went on to become head coaches at decent schools. This job definitely looks good on the resume. The difference this time around is that we are going to have to fork out some money for an attractive hire, which I know we can do.

Like you said, the decision is up to the man.

If we can tweak the hierarchy of this coaching staff, we’ll all be happy with the hire. And I’ll leave it at that.

hmm....meaning the guy we might be interested in wouldn't want to just be the "hitting coach", he'd want something more to his title.....like the associate head coach perhaps?

Not necessarily. In fact, I don’t think that’s the case at all.
I’m just telling you (and I’ve thought this for years), it’s hard to find ambitious rising stars for hitting coaches when said coaches are #3 in the chain of command.
