I guess there’s some, but they’re not someone Maggard, Leger, and Des couldn’t spot as not having the skills.
Where did he win 3 National champions he coached at Arizona state and Southern miss before coming here

In comparison to all other G5 and P5 programs where a coach has left for another job, only one looks worse on paper and that's Oklahoma. They've lost less staff, but more impact players.

Sorry I was thinking of another coach.

I wonder if a carrot Napier held out when hiring his Louisiana Crew the first time wasn't a promise of moving with him to his next gig.

Or on the same day he entered the portal and committed within hours.

Re: Football Staff specULation
Lamar is official by far the best hire.

Wow. I’d love to see a list with names and positions.

I know that if Kevin Faulk or Tony Hull had been hired we aren’t talking about 2 stud running backs in the portal

You don’t know anything like that. You’re obviously thinking it’s not about money and glory. It’s about money and glory.

Right. Can anyone speak to what Bergeron’s strengths are? Is he primarily a recruiter? Can he coach up the position? Really don’t know much about him other than he followed Billy from ASU.

Re: Football Staff specULation
Is Matt the head RB coach or the assistant RB coach?

Tony Hull has never put the firing of Jerry Baldwin behind him, unlike Ike Taylor. When Tony Hull was HC at Warren Easton, not a single athlete signed with UL. He made sure of that while he was HC. He has never returned to campus for reunions outside of coaching on the opposite sideline and he is not a member of the Gridiron Club. So please tell me why the heck would Desormeaux want Tony Hull on his staff?

Just telling you what I know BJ. Tony wanted to be here. All that other stuff I’ll let you have

And if what BJ said is true…then we don’t want him here.

I was told that Bergeron was activated for recruiting each year Billy was here.Billy was grooming him for an on field position. A players dad told me Bergeron was Napiers right hand man who came here with Billy from ASU to set up the process.
I know Coach Dez wanted to get this one back!
Now Portal kids, That's all NIL bull_____ just like the linemen that left..
They actually entered the portal Jan 3, three days ago according to the NCAA
Well that's encouraging

You can ask him, why he hasn't returned for reunions even between jobs, or join his former teammates in the Gridiron Iron Club? As for Faulk, my understanding is his wife didn't want him on the road recruiting right now.

I found out earlier the players actually found on New Year’s Eve. So it wasn’t knee jerk reaction on the same day. Matt was calling players as soon as New Year’s Day. I also heard emani has a brother at TCU and he may have went there no matter who the coach to be named was.

Yes, but they could have signed him out of HS. It's the NIL money and the fact that Evans left TCU for Ole Miss.
