Turb,
What amazed me last year was that Morgan was the ONLY nominee from the state. Minimum GPA must be a 3.5. Not a single football player from any of the other state schools of "higher learning" had a GPA of 3.5. Amazing.

Minimum GPA is 3.2. Goes to show how smart those "student"-athletes of the other state schools are!

If you could fully comprehend what you read, you would notice I was replying to BC's comment about 2007, when no other nominees from state of Louisiana schools made the list. Nowhere did I mention anything about other states or other years. Thanks for being the first lsu maroon to jump into the discussion. Don't you have Corndogs to eat?

Knowing what I know of Mike and his friendship and leadership, (not to mention his outstanding atheletic ability), that he has shown not only to my son but to all the young and old players is to be commended. He has my vote 110%.

when i was young, miss st was sometimes called the "maroons" sorta like an alternate team name in the vein of the war eagles or the plainsmen for auburn. first time i've thought about that in years. the thought made me pause over my corndog.

Glad you could see the humor in the post, and not get offended by an off the cuff attempt at a joke! Enjoy the bye week, your team has a tough task next weekend.
