Not sure he is ready for DC role, but financially and recruiting wise, definitely makes sense. He is making $275k at Alabama. Lowest paid assistant at Bama.

This would be one of my top choices, but it doesn't fit the waiting on the bowl game theory http://goutsa.com/coaches.aspx?rc=728&path=football. Making $200k, from Hammond, coached at Southeastern, USM and now UTSA. Has had very good defenses at all his stops.

Napier started following Karl Scott and Patrick Toney. Both are former Southeastern assistants under Ron Roberts. Scott is with Texas Tech and Toney with UTSA.
