So two maybe three people agree. Ya'll have a right to your opinion but you don't get to decide how this ship is run. Coach does. So quit your crying. Its his butt that is on the line everyday not yours. I support the Cajuns before, during and will after Southall. It's about the program and the kids, not about one person. We will do fine without him and I believe Southall must have seen this when we went dancing without him. If he wants to be a part of this team he must earn it and Coach Lee will decide if he has done enough. This is not desperation. We had back to back championships and have reloaded. Is that desperation? What has WKU done since that time? Not much besides bad mouthing a former player who was said to have no talent yet he greatly contributed at another school in Kentucky.

More than 2 or 3. Other fans and students I have talked to who don't post here agree that MS should not be allowed to come back and play. He go to school and earn his degree, I just do not think he should represent the university as a member of the basketball program.

If this is about the program, then why does every time Southall's name come up, it becomes the longest thread on any UL message board (besides the Predict-the-yardage threads).

Notice we never won a SBC tourney with Southall and we've won 2 in a row without him. And wasn't he released from his scholarship before he even got to KY because of his drug arrest? Yep.

***Michael Southall is in school and making good grades

***If Michael does not follow Coach Lee's criteria "he does not play"

We are not Kentucky. We do not have the same caliber basketball program they have. We have so much more risk involved. When they pass on Southall because of his problems what happens? They get another Blue Chip prospect instead. They have nothing to worry about. In order to pull in the best you have to start somewhere. If we had nothing but top notch scholars with average at best playing ability, this program would not be looked at by any top notch players, nor would it have any recruiting benefits. We would always be average at best and would never have a chance to improve. Somewhere along the lines you have to take a risk. Its a gamble just like in the casino, but you cant win what you dont put in the pot. Eventually you have to put your balls to the wall and say we need to make every attempt to make this the best team it can possibly be, even if that includes having shady characters on your team. Once you get your name out there as a true contender, then you have the opportunity to pass on the more risky players, because you have more to work with. Just some food for thought.

C-Dog, still in Ruston...I am changing companies as of Monday...still Ruston...same hotel.. The guys I was with are outstanding folks...just couldnt match the price...
