Just a little history to explain the derivative.

Why do you hate Dez so much, man? Harsh.
He told you and also Tboy68 it has been 25 plus years since he stepped foot in Cajun Field. Not sure why he lies about going to games and who he is. His character on this site varies alot from his in person personua.

Who Des? His sister, his 2 brothers and he started at St Edwards in elementary. The recruiters could see the talent at the kindergarten level.

Everybody recruits in New Iberia.
What hurt in da berry was the creation of Westgate for pure patronizing political reasons. NISH & WHS combined today aren’t usually graduating the number of students NISH did in the 70’s. Can’t fault Des playing where he did, no stability in programs elsewhere back then.
Could have put freshmen/sophomores at Westgate rest at NISH. Much like they do in some metro areas of Texas. But no…

Yea if anyone says he was recruited to go to Cath-NI they are stupid. Kind of like saying Peter should have played at Erath. :;

Sandalwood on the bayou side was there in the late 50’s, just before Morbraham. Evergreen came in mid to late 60’s. “Dead Man Walking” murders were down the road toward Loreauville, somewhere near the roundabout area if I remember correctly.
You’re right, it’s pretty much developed now, Belle Chase Elementary the draw for development.
