Re: Football Staff specULation
It looks like Billy hired another one of ours today, “ Tony Hill was named associate director, sports health for football on Thursday. He spent the last season as the associate director of sports medicine / head football athletic trainer at Louisiana under Napier and was part of the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship and New Orleans Bowl Championship.“
This feels like a bad joke.

Re: Football Staff specULation
Looking more like Billy didn't build our program. He built his program and left with it.

Re: Football Staff specULation
He’s doing it out of spite now.

Re: Football Staff specULation
Just unbelievably bad two weeks.

Ross was the offensive line coach at Grambling. He was previously here as the assistant OL coach under Sale.

Not saying these guys won't work out, but our concerns about des not having ties outside UL look to be validated. I really would have liked to see Des hire one coach outside the UL tree

My only concerns are if they are good position coaches, can recruit, and will the players respond to them. I think if they can do that, then having previous ties to Louisiana is an asset.

I hope it's just coincidence that Amani bailed on the same day RB Coach was announced.

Can GA go on recruiting trips. If not we just hired a green recruiter at a position that's job is 90% recruiting

Do these hires complete the staff?

Re: Football Staff specULation
So the number of staff members that Napier brought with him to Florida is now at 19.
Is this Number out of the ordinary?

Napier only took 4 on-field coaches?

Maybe we understand if he has coaching and salesmanship from the time he spent here. He’s certainly credentialed with NFL experience, and three college national championship rings. Those aren’t little things. Have you ever spent time with coaches? From high school to professional coaches I’ve never met one who couldn’t sell. I guess there’s some, but they’re not someone Maggard, Leger, and Des couldn’t spot as not having the skills.

Not the assistants to the position coaches.
