Geaux Cajuns!
Heck. It was bigger than the South Al total, I think.
Well said Boomer. HUD called out those who got on board because the Cajuns have been winning, but have no problems jumping off when it doesn't go their way. It's time for the bandwagoners to jump off. Most of us sat in the stands every game during the Stokley, Baldwin and Bustle eras when the teams weren't winning. Our team has had success over the past three years and I haven't taken it for granted. Some of you have! I hope the bandwagoners don't show up for the bowl. Let HUD and the team feel the support from those who truly believe in this team, win or lose!
No one is dumping this team. We all come here to vent. Things get said in haste or frustration because of our high expectations for this year's team. I'm at a loss of why this team has lost their fire and lost the last 2 games. I voted 11-2 on the season pole.
I watched the video, sounded to me like he was trying to be positive for his team and saying he doesn't have time for negativity. I'm fine with that. We need to find a QB, honestly think it's Haack, and give him all the reps these next two weeks.
Any news on McGuire? We need to run the damn ball against Tulane. Give McGuire and Alonzo 20 touches a piece.
We had an away game, on the road, with an offense that could not move the ball. Have all you haters watched a game this year? Our team is predicated on our ability to score on offense, do what we can on defense (with the exception of the stAte game), and basically limit the other team from having scoring options short of the big play. This approach became null and void when a) we stared a backup quarterback and b) our defense could not get any pressure on the qb or create any turnovers. The final blow is the fact that we are - 6 or 7 (i stopped counting) in the turnover margin in the past 2 games.
I was very upset about the first half defense but they played much, much better in the second half. I'm proud of how they fought back. Tulane doesn't have much of a high powered offense so we should be able to keep the ball on the ground on offense (as long as we don't turn it over and give them short fields) and play to our strengths.
Back at hotel and warmed up.
Heard coaches post game comments on the radio, via radio pup app. I think he was just emotional after the game.
Offensively, we couldn't do ____! USA played great defense! But we had a ton of passes that were just not good.
Defensively.......ouch! No other comments.
Turnovers will kill you!
#CajunNation turned out! I think most were so cold, that we couldn't get into the game. Why drive all that way to be quiet? At least 700+ in UL fans tonight.
Was not expecting this beat down! USA is a good team and people need to realize that. They are not even close to bottom of the barrel in the SBC. I was expecting closer, but damn.
Coach, can I get my gas and hotel money refunded? :)
And still ____ed about my camera being broken....
We'll you did one hell of a job leading the first down cheer, what few we got. I'll follow your lead any time. My son was like an ice block, but still good bonding time. See you in the future.
props to all who went !!!!!!!!!!! no one jumping off, i think we all broken hearted. However, Cajun Nation will roll forward. Just wish i knew what happened to our boys the last 2 weeks.
Browning, a great QB found holes in our defense, especially over the middle. Tonight, USAs defense stuffed the run. The offense became one dimensional. The offense is built for Broadway. Haack is not Broadway. Also, 23 USA points off of turnovers and turnover on downs gave USA a short field several times. That's how we lost.
USA fans have started a Twitter campaign to the Pizza Bowl with hash tag #PickUSA
In all fairness, even if it would cost us some dough, I kinda hope they get it. They deserve it as much as any 6-6 team in America.
They're a good football team, and they'll be hell to beat in coming years.
The Louisiana-S. Alabama rivalry may find a fire rekindled in an unlikely place - the football field.
Much props to the fans that made the trip. It was tough to watch, and I was warm the whole damn time.
If we can find a fire for the Tulane game, I'll end this season extremely impressed with the character of those young men.
These past 2 weeks sucked. But I won't lose my perspective. We have a bowl championship to win, and a direct recruiting competitor to demolish on the football field. I'm not confident, but I'm hopeful.
You are right, I chose the wrong term..... Stumbled in.
KPEL just posted their report in the game and said that McGuire's status for the bowl game is "up in the air"... UGH!!!
:(
My guess is that he separated his shoulder
