This could be coincidental, and maybe it's not, considering the recent news on softball, but maybe something like "Ally the albineaux gator", in short "Ally". This sounds better to me. It's way more catchy and kid friendly, they like names that end with a "y". Just throwing that out there. I don't think the real Alyson would mind.
After adoption, I encourage a name changing survey. But right now his name needs to be Albineaux to emphasize he’s not just a white gator. I sometimes call him “Tee Al” in short hand. I think that’s a fun way to fall back to the Cajun language.

If you read Hebrew or Japanese, different story.
I actually general prefer Albineaux to face west considering the Florida logo faces east and LSU is east of the basin. But I was curious to see if these designs would convince me otherwise. They didn’t lol.

Thanks guys! Designs like these would fly off the shelves with younger demographics. I particularly like this design because it feels classic. I’ve been trying to create an image of Albineaux that embodies the two most iconic USL bulldog images. The fluer de lis in his eye is my homage to the image below.

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks.

My reasoning is....
When we read we scan from left to right effectively making what we read slide from right to left (think scrolling ticker)
A car or an animal that is facing right is visually moving backwards, especially if there are words under scoring the icon.

Totally agree
Re: Pitch Two for Albineaux in the Campaign for the Next UL Mascot
Fun little anecdote regarding cultivating new generation of fans and the mascot (ULVictory will love this).
My 8 and 5-year-old have only known UL their short lives. They have attended many games, seen me watching on TV at home, know that's where their parents graduated, and even know the fight song. My 8-year-old is bought in, but my 5-year-old is in kindergarten...and the other day he says, "LSU is my favorite school." I asked him why, and he said, "because they're the tigers and my friends at school have their t-shirts. Can you buy me one?"
That's why returning to Cayenne is a non-starter for me. What kid is gonna want to wear a fighting pepper to school when their friends are wearing bengal tigers?

Most importantly, did you buy your kid the shirt?
Our oldest ended up going there, but researched the field, shopped around, and presented the reasoning to us. But no P&G came thru the doors of the house until that decision was made, and not our direct dollars.

Not yet, but his grandpa went to LSU, so that's something that can bond them together. I don't wanna stand in the way of that.
