The site went down due to a delayed server move, that was cancelled after 5 days due to suddenly realizing we were not going to need the increased capacity.

Returning RP to its former self was impossible and required existing server upgrades to php, mySQL, https, memory, backing up the data, (hopefully without losing any data) its been a nightmare.

But there is a clearing ahead.

Turbine, I totally understand the issues you went through and I am very happy RAGIN CAJUN is back!

Just a little reminder to everyone that reads and/or posts on this site; this site is YOURS! It is totally your decision while monitoring it and if people do not like that they are welcome to move on. I have donated in the past and will continue in the future, hoping I can contribute more in the future as I also know I am lost in the mornings without my Cajun updates on here!

I think it was down from July 12th to July 20something in 2020.

I see it was August 3rd when you asked about it. I had moved it to newly formed "Just Ragin" and no one knew (it seemed) how to navigate there. It's where I put the Covid stuff as well.

PS: Don’t ever forget the couple posters that were on here shortly after that “little over a week” soliciting posters to go over to that new and better board.

This reminds me of the joke about the four guys sitting around debating about what was the fastest thing in the world. There was a Yale grad, a Harvard grad, a aTm grad and a true coon ass.

The Yale grad went first and argued that the fasting thing in the world was the thought. When you have a thought, it’s immediate, you think of it and bang, the thought is there. The thought is the fasting thing in the world.

The Harvard grad argued that it was a blink. A blink is immediate. Before you could even think of anything you blink and it’s over. The blink is definitely the fasting thing in the world.

The aTm grad said no, it’s definitely the light switch. You turn on the light switch and bang the light goes on. There is definitely nothing faster than the light switch.

The old coon ass goes next and says with all y’ll fancy degrees y’ll all wrong. By far the fasting thing in the world is diarrhea. The other grads all laughed and teased the coon ass then all of a sudden he said yea, well the other day I was in a heap of trouble and before I could think, blink or turn on the light, I had ____ in my pants. Diarrhea is definitely the fastest thing in the world . . .
