Re: How many do you think we will put in the Super Dome?
We should be hearing soon from the athletic department. I made my reservation today and it was $89 for 2 tickets and was told that I would receive a call to choose seats soon he also said that those would probably be 100 level seats. The gentleman in the athletic department was very helpful even though he sounded like he hadn't stopped all day long

not sure if this is accurate but, just what i was told. if anyone has any insight i would appreciate it.
thanks

It is my understanding that RCAF members will be seated first (The higher the contribution, the better the seats) then season ticket holders with no RCAF membership will be seated second, then students will be seated third and finally the general public with no season tickets or RCAF membership who called and reserved tickets will be seated last.
Re: How many do you think we will put in the Super Dome?
OK, Was just checking. i'm not sure they are really sure how they are doing it since this is all new to them and the first time through it. but, she told me that the deposited people went first in the order described. then the people that ordered once it became first come fisrt serve would be seated in the order listed as well.
so was wondering if since we deposited early it gave precedence over the ones who chose not to?

To me, if SMU is not coming, I 'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a shot at one of those Major programs.
This could possibly happen. I would love to see us play a Big Ten or a Big East school.

People open businesses to make money, therefore they stock merchandise that sells. For many years UL did not produce many items that people wanted to buy. That has improved quite a bit in recent years, but still not to the degree of items produced by LSU. I have purchased a number of UL items from both Bell's and Louisiana Hot Stuff and I've enjoyed everything purchased from either store. I don't think Cajun fans ought to discount any outlet or store selling any amount of Cajun items. It is up to us as fans to create the market for Cajun merchandise and if we do, I'm sure all stores will add to their inventory.
Just like the BCS, it's all about the money!
Re: How many do you think we will put in the Super Dome?
Spoke to friend who called to get his tickets today. He bought them outright (no deposit) and was told that the $62 seats are sold out.

This is new to the old timers at UL, but this is not new to Scott Farmer. Therefore, Scott has a good handle on it and is coaching his staff on how all this works!
Re: How many do you think we will put in the Super Dome?
thanks Duggie, so i guess i'll just wait till they call and maybe get to select seats. i thought it sounded odd that you wouldn't be able to select seats??
Mark Schlabach is not impressed
LOL
Looks like our dreams of the N.O. Bowl have been crushed! Apparently we aren't going to any bowl game

UCF lost last week to fall to 4-7 so they are no longer an option for the NO bowl.
Re: How many do you think we will put in the Super Dome?
billbeck,
how did it end up being $89 dollars. thought it was 30 per ticket. how many did you get??
Re: Mark Schlabach is not impressed
I saw that last night and forgot to post it!!!
This just proves exactly how much ESPN does not follow the SBC any way shape or form!
Espn only has a TV contact with the SBC to say they have one with all the top div I conferences.

Re: So, who are we gonna play?
UCF lost Last week & we likely not go bowling.
Re: So, who are we gonna play?
I want to play ___. We'll kick ___'s butt. Carry your butt to the NO Bowl, ___. So what if you're from ___ conference. We're going to kick your butt. How many fans will come from ___ to witness the Cajuns wip up on ___? I can't wait to play ___ in the NO Bowl. I've always wanted to kick the crap out of ___. Now we have a chance to play ___ on national TV and prove ___ ain't jack squat compared to the Cajuns. Geaux Cajuns!!! Beat ___!!!
Re: Mark Schlabach is not impressed
Good Bowl Selection Article
Not like it matters anymore to the Cajuns, but this is a great article explaining how bowls make their team selections.

Re: Seeing red from Cajuns' sales
I am not talking about there business they make serveral football games a year. They are season ticker holders for baseball. So again before you make a comment about them make sure you know what you are talking about. Yes they are personal friends of mine so I know that they are supporters of the University and like I said neither of them are UL alum.
Re: Seeing red from Cajuns' sales
Who owns the "UL" Bookstore?
Thought so.
I wish they would quit bashing all the self funded businesses who invest in UL merchandise.
If you don't know what I am talking about, I will explain later.
Re: Who would you rather play?
I agree, I would love to see UL play against a team from a "bigger" conference. Big 10 or Big East would be pretty cool. Would be interesting to see how we would match up.
Not that it would happen, but how about this idea.
The battle for the title of "UL"
UL (Louisville) vs. UL (University of Louisiana)
That would be a lot of red in the Dome.
