Conference realignment again????

Chaos is a ladder.

WVU and UCF and possibly Cincy to the ACC only makes sense. That is the reason I doubt it happens.

If the above were to happen and BYU to whatever is left in the PAC and the Big 12 would be decimated. Only left standing would be:

Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech and TCU.

If that happens look for the SBC east to break off and join the remnants of the ACC, and the SBC west to join up with some of the Big 12 and AAC remnants.

I’ve heard SBC west,MWC and some out of the CUSA joining if the east coast teams bolt.

All in all, I'd prefer the SBC stay together. But if that hypothetical scenario would happen, those Big 12 leftovers with us and Louisiana Tech would be cool. I'd almost say Arkansas State, but their non-football sports leave much to be desired.

Wow I just can not keep up with this, it is crazy to see how it all shakes out in the end. As of right now their are 32 teams, if the ACC defections take place (not counting ND) that are currently P5 teams that are left standing in the ACC, Big 12 and PAC 12. Here is the current list and as of today don't have a seat at the dance (but some will).

ACC
BC, Duke, GT, Louisville, Miami, NC State, Pitt, Syracuse, VT, Wake

Big 12
Iowa State, OSU, WV, TCU, Kanas State, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas, UCF, Cincy, Houston and BYU

PAC 12
Oregon, Washington State, Oregon State, Cal, Washington, Stanford, Utah, Arizona State, Colorado and Arizona.

......man do we fit well in that Big 12 setting.....if they are interested in La recruiting which they are!!!!

PAC-12 remnants will raid the Big12/MWC.
ACC remnants will raid Big12/AAC.

Total effing chaos for everybody else in FBS.

I reiterate my desires from 30 years ago. UL needs to be in the most competitive, regional conference available. Back then, I hoped that would be the Big12. Today, I still want that, only the conference lineup will be much different.

This alliance schedule is just a great idea....we can promote it and if they don't want to than it is they who are backing down....as part of the deal would be the use of only Louisiana in scheduling, promotional , broadcasting, and scoreboard signage......Hey ltur is a tough recruiting opponent in all sports...always have been and always will be and there are some on their roster that could really help us that we wanted and some on our roster that almost went North......but no way in the conference except for other university swap offs (med school) in Lafayette!!!
