How much did the South Endzone cost us? Wasn't it like $8 million?
If we rebuilt the east and west lower bowl to match it probably wouldn't cost us more than $20 Million. add in another $20-$30 million for a small upper deck (like in the picture I posted earlier,) roof, suites, press box, and concourses and we've got ourselves a damn nice MLS-style stadium.
That would give us a roughly 32,000 seat stadium with room for more on the grass which is EXACTLY what we need right now. If need be we can build out the north endzone and have 38,000 seats. If you think we will EVER need more seats than that you are out of your freakin' mind. There's maybe one or two G5 schools that average more than that.

No Maggard, no Director of Marketing (I know Eric Marron was in place but that guy was absolutely terrible) , no Director of Communication/Digital Media, no content creator, and no Mike Alden report. Right now, we have some key players in place as well as some future position that will help grow our brand and most importantly, we have an actual plan to help combat those issues.
Strange, but I was about to say something along the same lines. Right now, it's hard set a number on a stadium because of the new administration. If the old was still in place, I could see a smaller stadium. But with the new administration, we have really no history to go against with the exception of Dr. Maggard's short tenure. But I think that we can all agree that with that short tenure, he is thinking big for the future. Just look at his hires. So, if a new stadium were to come, I can see a stadium about the same size of what we got now with possibility of future expansion. Remember, this administration is looking at long term and will be pushing this university to be the very best that it can be. But for all for that planning and vision, it all hinges on how Napier does for the next 2-3 seasons IMO. If we look and play like a university that is one of the best G5's in the country, the rest will fall into place. If not, we'll still be looking at Cajun Field being patched up for the foreseeable future.
Re: Could the Ragin’ Cajuns be getting a new football stadium?
Unless I misunderstood the issues with the existing structure, "bringing it up to code" would essentially require tearing everything except the SEZ down to bare dirt and replacing it, since slope and row spacing are major issues. That being the case, we either have to build a new stadium or get a code waiver for the existing lower sidelines and pretty much do what Boomer suggested.

Like VO said, that would be IF we get a pass on the codes for the bottom half.
I'm guessing that once it is decided that this is the route, and as soon as we get the go ahead from the genie of the building codes, the NEZ will begin.
