Re: Ole Miss Pitcher to UL?
If there is anywhere that he can be fixed, it will be there. Congrats for chasing your dreams. Don’t let the nobody’s here in anyway affect or change your course.

Plenty of former Cajuns athletes are on the board. They are not nobody's. It would be hard to change his course when he has already signed to play.

5 is on the low end.

Like I said the top rounds guys will get the attention. He got 11th round money. His contract paid the same money as guys that were drafted in the 11th round in the 20 round draft. He will not be treated any differently than anyone drafted in rounds 11-20. It is a long shot for everyone drafted. It would have been a long shot for him next year to if he goes to school one more year and then take that shot. Kid is taking a leap of faith and no better time than now to do it. Chances are with the 3rd player that got involved he wasn't coming here anyway.

Who was the genus that said it was a “far gone conclusion long ago that he was coming here” I love those know it alls that state things with such authority but don’t know Jack.

Maybe he was coming here until the WhiteSox offered him bigger than UDFA money. Drew had no clue they would not draft him yet pay him mid draft money. $ always changes folks thinking.

Anything would of been a “risk”. Heck coming here would of been a risk. Who knows…he may have never developed any further here, there or anywhere. I wish the best for him. I just know how free agents are viewed in pro ball. They dont always get a fair shake. No doubt he has the opportunity to be coached at a little higher level. It is what it is.

Until we get a true pitching coach we will never get upper end prospects.

Damn I thought this was 20 years in the making. Preordained by the omnipotent JMV. Might want to get some new little birdies

What the ____ are you talking about? I never once said he was coming to UL. Try again. I said if he was going the college route he narrowed it down to UL or UCF as his final two picks. I swear folks like you need to learn some reading comprehension.
