No chance in hell. Baylor is looking at possibly the Cotten or Alamo Bowl. Plus RGIII would rip us apart.

The only reason they do not carry more is that the University for so long has not offered more. They do have more p/g but they do have a wall full of red and white and always have. The owners there are big supporters of UL and neither one of them is an alum of the school. So please before you bash a local business that has always supported the Cajuns do a little more research.
There is no doubt that the Tv's would be on and I am all for us playing an at large AQ school. But we do not have the same talent on the field as Baylor. I would love to beat a team of that caliper but the odds of it happening wouldn't be in our favor. RGIII is a exceptional QB. We have struggle this year with mobile QBs. I want a match up with a pocket passing spread team....not lead by Case Keenum.
i get what your saying but they are in the business of selling fan apparel, do they really have a choice? its not like a resteraunt flying a flag or catering to certain fans. They make their living off of selling those items. Not sure I would translate that into support.
Purdue will win this week over Indiana and give the big 10 an extra team........Purdue would travel fairly well. If CUSA can't fulfill it's slots.......Big 10 extra team would be welcomed as an opponent.
& Tech can go freeze in Boise with their 100 fans.
I did not mean to sound like I was bashing the owners personally. I am sure they are great people. Its good to know they support the Cajuns too! I was just sharing my thoughts about their choice to have twice the amount of tigger gear than Cajun gear. It is odd to me that the Advertiser chose to interview the owners of this store rather than all of the other stores that sell the local colleges apparel. That's why I asked if Cajun fans actually shop there
I sure don't. Maybe someone else on here would know of a good website though.
@Cajunmarine. I can only speak for myself in saying this but I wasn't taking a shot at La hot stuff. I was expressing that in my dealings with them that I have never found what I was looking for in their store. Take it for what it's worth.
Sorry Shooter, but I have to disagree with your premise that this team doesn't have the same calliber talent as Baylor. I don't think anyone knows for sure, including our coaching staff just how good our talent level is. The truth is this coaching staff was expirementing well into the season with our offensive unit. Then just about the time Blaine really started to establish himself as the offensive leader with Peoples, LG, Harris, Surgeant, & Lawson stepping up, Gauthier started getting knicked up & Qyen got the concussion. I don't think this team, with the exception of beating FIU & MTSU on the road has really had an opportunity to play its best ball this year. Add to all of that our kickers have had their problems with injuries. This bye week is critical & would have been much better to have had it a few weeks earlier in the year, but coming the same week as the Cajuns getting invited to the NO bowl & during the Thanksgiving Hollidays will be huge for these guys. I think we get to see these guys play a great couple of games at the end. This team has some very good football left in them no matter who they play.
they told me on the phone today at the ticket office that you would not be able to select that they would begin filling from the center out with the deposit seats then move on from there.
not sure if this is accurate but, just what i was told. if anyone has any insight i would appreciate it.
thanks

Hah a um NO .I was checking out his knee so he wouldn't kick here in her baby bump. Then I saw the cameraman with two cameras and wondered what is he aiming at? Oh his crotch. Then I wondered what is preggo staring at? Can't tell her head is hidden by his crotch. Then I though careful that is how you got preggo in the first place. I hate explaining my knee fetish.
I agree that we have yet to see this teams full potential. Also though this team still has areas that need to be improved to compete repeatedly with the AQ's. We need the offensive line to step up and we need the front 7 on D to do a better job of stopping the run. We can critique and deal in hypotheticals all day. One thing everyone should be able to agree on is that it's been a hell of a year and that we don't want it to end!
let's not forget the world famous lucky dog vendor at midnight!!!
The UL bookstore has great stuff but has not updated it's website in forever, so you don't know what is available. Bell's does not have a website. It is frustrating trying to not only find gear on line, but finding gear without Lafayette. It is time for UL to correct this with the right kind of approved Louisiana mdse. UL is losing a lot of revenue by not approving the right name on its gear, especially when damand is so high. That the UL Bookstore has not updated it's website is also cause for alarm.
Well I agree a jillion per cent with this post & I understand that there is a need to realistically temper goals & expectations. I really, really, really, believe this team is much, much, much better, certainly much better than I ever expected them to be this year. I also see the growth in this team on all three sides of the ball from where it was to where it is. While I wish things would have turned out better in Jonesboro, & that these guys would have had a rest week somewhere earlier along the way, it also gave this group a unique opportunity to work with this staff in a high stress environment for weeks on end. To that end I think this team is maybe an extra year ahead in their preparation skills that would dictate their being able to handle a myriad of offensive schemes. I also think with the rest they would be much better on the O line & being able to run the ball to help set up the rest of their offense. In other words, I would rather see them in an exciting competitive game against a higher ranked BCS or non AQ qualifier, than a fifth ranked CUSA team that has to slide into a bowl berth on their bellies. I really hope Houston goes BCS & leaves CUSA wanting for a fifth qualifier.
There's plenty of Cajun gear to be found locally. Try to buy a little from everyone. I've spread my spending around LA Hot Stuff, Academy, Albertson's, UL Bookstore, BedBathBeyond and I seem to remember a few little things from WalMart, Target and a Shell gas station.
I agree. If I could rank my top 5 choices out of schools who some of are only slightly possible I would go
1. Southern Miss
2. Illinois
3. Syracuse
4. Texas tech
5. SMU
5.
Chances are that CUSA will not have the necessary eligible teams to fill all of their bowl slots, and that a couple of Major conferences will have too many eligible schools.
Would you rather play SMU, East Caolina, or Marshall.....or Iowa State, Iowa, Purdue, or Syracuse?
To me, if SMU is not coming, I 'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a shot at one of those Major programs.
Anybody hear anything about UCF? I had heard that they were a possibility but haven't heard much about them in a while
