This is accurate. For the life of me I can't understand that mindset. What does that say about those people? Have some ____ing pride in yourself

Yea one of those silly ass skits at Blackham. But it's in front of all the hoes so I see why they got ____ed. Layed em out pretty good from what I heard

A couple of my old roommates participated in the ass kicking (a year or 2 before my time). I heard about it but couldn't remember the whole story

Yep. My first semester began with the illustrious tenure of ol' Toothpick.

Maybe lswho doesn't try to prove so many of their posts wrong and are more supportive of answering their questions

Ways to increase % of grads caring about athletics:
1. Get students to live on-campus and engage in extracurriculars. (I think there's a push towards that).
2. Bolster, reinvigorate, and support Greeks (opposite of that is happening).
3. Exposure/exposure/exposure. Students on campus should see signage of athletics' home games and schedules around campus. Athletics emails should be sent out to all student louisiana.edu emails with an opt-out. (Unsure of this happening)
3a. Where do students hang out now? Where is the communal gathering place with no strip? Is it DT (Marley's)? Find where students are gathering and promote games there and deck it out in Cajun swag. Create a sense of community.
4. Make tailgating great again
And are we maintaining the other 15percent at least?

I can say that same thing for some of my high school class mates as well one has an undergrad and masters from here.
That is more of the normal not the exception for the vast majority of people I know close to me or just casually.
I get backing LSU, but those UL grads aren’t really part of the us, at least according to my LSU friends. You gotta go there to be an us.

But none of their fans did, so they have no "us"

That’s just a reality of the situation. It will take a monumental effort by the university to get current students to identify with UL over LSU. But, it doesn’t happen by osmosis. If it did we would have a bunch of fans already.

It’s the same reason there are so many Braves fans in Louisiana. With the Astros next door, there are tons of Braves fans because “they were on TV” thanks to TBS. People are spoonfed to be TSAB fans by local media, EPSN, politicians, family members, etc. from birth. My best friend’s family in Shreveport can’t stand south Louisiana, but boy are they Tiguh fans…
They’ve had the edge since the top levels of state government made them a priority. It’s a battle that we can make progress in locally, but the school is so inconsistent in their approach that people are apathetic.

Wow T,
TBS is a solid example of how, artifical exposure will create lifelong fans.
TSAB even more so.
