Anyone heard that Bradford might be hurt???
That’s why Robe threw Orynn the other night.
Re: BB G3: Louisiana @ Sam Houston State
Have a great idea. All those questions everyone has can come to the Diamond Club meeting tomorrow for 11:30am at Russo park and ask the coach directly.

Who cares what he is “listed” as. He was signed here out of high school as a pitcher. That was obviously not the first time he’s got on the mound all year. In fact he had been dominate in intrasquads and looked very good from what I’ve been told. I can tell u this, if there is one coach in America that is overly cautious about running guys out on the mound because they are not “ready” it Tony.

This thread has deteriorated beyond belief.
I would not want to go into battle with a number of posters here. It is obvious that once a few bullets start flying, they are willing to abandon their posts and run for the hills!

I'm sure the decision to put Veillion on the mound seemed right at the time for Robe or he would not have put him in. Veillion is a great young man. As bad as we feel losing the way we did, trust me, he feels 10 times worse.

I agree. I’m not questioning his decision. I’m sure he was also trying to manage innings with a bullpen that is 1- inexperienced 2- knowing he had 18 innings to spread out over an inexperienced bullpen 3- didn’t have Gunner to eat up 5-6 possibly 7 innings...
Re: BB G3: Louisiana @ Sam Houston State
Gunner has been out 2 years. I am exited about his return even if it is temporarily delayed.
Still, with the long known uncertainty of his return in any form, it seems to me UL should have had ample time to find another Friday night starter.
2 Friday night caliber starters should not be out of the question at this point in time.

I'm not questioning whether it was right or wrong. It was unexpected. If the team comes out on Friday night wearing grays, I'd ask a similar question. Curious to know how he came to that decision based on all the surrounding evidence.
