That reminds me - I was thinking of using that quote from Beryl Shipley. He was referring to the Southland Conference, but it seems to apply here as well.

I was at the Championship game, I stayed after for the announcements.
The All-Tournament team was a joke. Myers got hosed!!!

Basis of the name change was heavily related to academics and not athletics. That is still the case today.

I agree this will still be an issue in 10 years. In 100 years it may not be. I am not using the triple figure as a joke. It in fact may take that long and we need to be prepared to address it for quite awhile. Being in a league without ULM would help of course but I don't see that day on the horizon any time soon.

Well is is safe to assume that we would want a new commish??? I don't know what kind of job he actually does but I know with the League headquartered in NO we get no press and that is not good!!!! So what are the steps that need to be taken for his removal--At whom's pleasure does he serve---I would think the presidents of the universities and/or ADs!!!!! A swim across the bayou starts when you jump in---We must watch out for the snakes and gators however!!!!
