The dissapointing thing is this is the type of ball the Cajuns should strive on.
Low scoring games, defense, & pitching should get us the W's. The new bats have brought every one more towards our style of ball and we can't take advantage of it.
We've lost 18 games. Six by one run, and three by two runs. Four more games were lost by three or four runs.
For a team like the Cajuns we should be on the other side of the equation in regards to W's. It should be us taking those low run games more consistently. We have won nine games by two or fewer.
So for games decided by two runs or less we are 9-9. With our ball style I would expect a much better ratio on these games.
Just got home from the game and I was thinking walk off! Good collage baseball game though. We NEED to win the next two if we wanna stay in the hunt.

We got runners they just happened to be with two outs most of the time. Just an all around unlucky ball game. Regroup do it again tomorrow. This team is in a funk, hopefully we can break out...and then break out.
I blame the bad luck on that GOD awful "Tailgate" song they played. I will be most appreciative if that was the first and last time I hear that song. Kudos to the guy who made his own song, but keep it at your tailgate Sir. =)
David's recording of the song is great. It's been around for about three years, and he was asked to sing it by Coach Robe at the game. It was made to honor UL's baseball program, and all profits raised from the sale of the CD's goes to UL baseball.Quote:
