Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
We waited until the 7th inning to get serious about this game.

Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
Did they even throw their best pitchers? This is wild.

Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
This team, man….
One more chance at the plate, and we’ll need at least three runs.

Amedee, Higgs, Yuhasz, Stelly, Torres, and Cuff are 1-13 tonight with 6 K’s between them. Zero production from the veteran guys this game.

Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
On a positive note, pitching and defense has been good enough to win tonight.

Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
What’s with the fake bunt crap? We are missing a lot of nice pitches because of it.

I think Deggs knows we are not a good hitting team. Started the game and each batter tried to bunt. Who starts a game that way?

A coach that knows his team have not come around hitting wise

Made McNeese pitching staff look like a bunch of Cy Young winners.

Meanwhile TX State is beating #1 A&M 7-2 in 8th.

Re: MickyNeese Baseball Game
Total collapse at the plate after scoring 12 against 23rd ranked Nebraska on Saturday. WTH?

Gonna be a lot of peaks and valleys this year I’m afraid.
But the returning players going 1/15 with 7 strikeouts just cannot happen. Not against that level of competition.
I’m usually not a fan of 2 midweek games in a week, especially going in to a big weekend series, but thankfully, this team gets to play again tomorrow. And they get an opportunity to wipe some of the stank away after tonight’s game.

Re: BB Final: Louisiana 0, McNeese 3
So they beat us in basketball, Baseball, sure hope we beat them in football or we will never hear the end of it. Yikes.

Re: BB Final: Louisiana 0, McNeese 3
Debo Taylor lafluer pastore we don’t have any hitters like those guys from last year. Roller coaster ride coming this year don’t expect any big things this year

Re: BB Final: Louisiana 0, McNeese 3
Another big issue is that, among the returning players, you have Amedee, Higgs, Cuff, and Mandino…all left handed hitters. And anybody who’s paid close attention knows that Yuhasz, even though he hits right handed, struggles mightily against left handed pitchers.
That leaves Stelly and Torres. While both are pretty solid hitters, neither of them are big threats. Add to that the most impressive freshman to this point has been Brooks Wright, another left handed hitter, and it’s pretty obvious that this team will be VERY susceptible to getting dominated by lefty pitchers. Or in a case like tonight, teams that have a bunch of lefty relievers that they can play match up with.

I think B.W. is a switch hitter. Im not sure if I've seen him hit R yet only L. He has one hell of a resume'.

Pitchers don’t have to pitch around a single hitter in any lineup. You can attack every guy.
