He can get them here, he just refuses to do a 3 or 2 for one with them. He has said this publicly many of times. His scheduling goal is to put us in the best position possible to get into the playoffs and play home games with similar regional G5s like the LaTechs, Rices and UABS.

A VERY bad strategy. Not the strategy that the Fresno States, Boise States, UCF's, etc did 10-20 years ago to get to where they are.

To be fair, 10-20 years ago they scheduled appropriately for the BCS era.

CFB era has us scheduling like this, but at a cost of missing out on exciting OOC home games.

USL took the money and ran. Home games against large programs involves work.

Turbine, I’m consistently beating the mixed messaging drum regarding the name. Our biggest impediment is our own administration.

I really feel it’s all about the bottom line. If UL can’t make at home what the guarantee is just for going, home and home won’t happen.

Given UL plays “X” number of home games, it hard to compete against a home opponent UL is getting cheap.

Hard to grow a fanbase with that mentality.

Not a wise philosophy

Has anyone ever thought that we are scheduling to build a winning tradition? Something that we do not have?

Also Oregon St and App St was a schedule opportunity that just worked out. UNC cancelled the series with App and Oregon St lost the PAC schedule so it worked out for both programs.
