I don't want Nichols, SELU, or McNeese in the conference either. Having these wouldn't help increase fan support just like having tech wouldn't
I dont want 3 teams in Louisiana in the same conference.

Explain to me not adding Tech doesn’t help fan support? Specially if we had to play them not just in Football but all sports, it would automatically up the stakes just for the simple fact it would count as a conference game.
McNeese, Nichols is not LaTech. Understand recruiting but that right there is an illusion . So we take decreasing fan support and support for the program away, versus maybe landing a better recruit?
Not sure how you think adding tech helps fan support. Yes maybe for the 60+ years who remember there being a rivalry but it would be no different than ULM
Okay so you do not think the average fan in South Louisiana doesnt know who Tech is, and cares nothing about playing them? This is just not us , same goes for ULM, USM, Ark St. etc
ULM would sell out if they ever played we would sell 25k tickets every year for that game, plus the &h— talking that goes with it. This isnt just a UL thing it is a regional thing.
Okay so only the 60 and up crowd only cares? Do you really believe that? Maybe i am dumb. Latech would not increase fan interest at all, and the money that would be gain from playing them in all sports would not make an impact on UL athletics? Maybe i am delusional
Maybe I'm too young to remember playing them every year as we haven't played every year since 2000. I just don't hate tech. Louisiana tech has been 3-9 the past 3 years and is 1-3 this year.
Ah yes everyone would hate and get up for their super bowl against a ____ty football team
UL would also save in travel costs for all sports by adding LaTech vs. WKU.
A big NO to adding Tech.
I would be shocked if the SBC presidents would ever invite Tech. Some don't seem to understand that their administration (not fans) have purposefully tried to damage multiple schools in this league.
And while they try to put themselves out their as some kind of academic powerhouse they are far from it. I have personally known professors at Tech that left because of what amounts to academic fraud in passing students with advanced degrees to keep up their numbers.
And for those doubting me there is this:

You’re not alone.
Mr. Jay Walker if you’re out there (or anyone that has it). Please post the link to your SBC board post regarding many of the bridges Tech has burned with multiple SBC members. Thank you in advance.
It’s a list of Ruston’s dishonesty and other missteps with SBC members. UL and ULM won’t be the only ones closing the door. It’s pretty much DOA.
Tommy Mac’s little bravado video, remember where he was before Tech. He was playing to that audience too. Though they’d love to move up, at least they know don’t bother trying the SBC.
We're moving to a P2 and then everyone else model. The PAC and MWC are trying to fill gaps, unfortunately there aren't schools available that will bring the brand value that you had before. So, the conferences look at markets to fill the gaps, admittedly Texas State is in a good spot located between Austin and San Antonio. However, the competition for eyes on your product is fierce, with UT nearby. I don't see television networks continuing to pay boatloads of cash with some of these reworked conferences.
This is why I've always felt that marketing the Ragin' Cajun brand is critical. We have the most unique name in the United States. However, we lack visual representation via a mascot and finding Ragin' Cajuns gear is a struggle the further you move from Lafayette.
No to La Tech. They burnt their bridge and we not rebuilding the bridge.
Tuck fech. Let them rot. It’s possible to play every year in football without being in the same conference. We play them every year in everything else.
How much money would we save, plus added revenue in playing them in conference all sports?

Someone needs to do the cost analysis of adding Tech to the Sunbelt West.
Then at best how much in Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Football the increase in attendance vs. a WKU?
Does WKU increase fans in Baseball, Softball, or Football vs. Tech. No way does WKU makes that needle move except maybe Basketball
Tech and WKU both left and said good riddance to the Sun Belt.
Isn't there someone else out there?
If Tech wants into this conference there needs to be a stipulation that they MUST refer to us as Louisiana or UL at all sporting events to include showing it on the scoreboard and state it in all broadcast… failure to comply will result in financial restitution paid to our university…. Also if I was ULM I would force them (tech) to recognize them as such and pay the same financial penalty. It would be one way to stick it to the necksters… MAKE THEM SAY OUR NAME!
We don't need three Sun Belt schools in the State of Louisiana. Why create additional recruiting competition within the State, when there is already plenty. The Sun Belt is now several steps above CUSA, why elevate LA Techs status?
I think Tech would have a snowball's chance in hell getting in the SBC. They done urinated on enough members where they won't even try. It's not just a UL/ULM issue. As long as they have the same donor family calling the shots, that leopard isn't changing their spots.
Tommy Mac's little video was the pure essence of the donor leadership at L A Tech. Let them rot.
