Coach Thibodeaux was similar at TCH. They wanted to coach a certain way and just didn't have the capacity to deal with kids and parents who may have thought they were deserving of something they may not be.
baseball is one of the toughest sports to manage because unlike basketball or football there is not free substitution
once you are out you are out and if you are not a starter you are probably not getting in other than in the pitching position
at least softball has a little more flexible substitution rules
