7 in a row, back to 13 lead from only 6 up.

Twilight zone.
Every time we win it’s cause the other team is the worst team ever. Goes both ways. MFs just can’t relax and enjoy a basketball game anymore. Sheesh

I agree. People can’t just enjoy a good half of ball without reading the coach sycophants saying stupid ____.

Beat rice and we are on our way to final 4!

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Nice road win. No seniors on the team. If we can return them all and add a 6’10” guy we could have a solid roster next year.

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Feels good to just win something after this garbage last week. Especially against Rice.

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Played a very solid game. Our defense is improving as the season progresses

Defensive effort has been outstanding the last 3 games. So that and make outside shots with Julien being a closer… they can win the SBC.

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
KITENGE has been playing very good ball lately. Very promising.

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Big boy from England playing better. Joe Charles had 15 rebounds, very solid defensive player. Wish Ratliff would do a little more on both sides of the ball.
What's the story on Chancellor White? He's got good length and some experience too.

He certainly is coming around. I liked that we didn’t live by the 3 in the second half. We took the ball to the rim and made the extra pass. And what an else can you say about Joe Charles? That dude is just everywhere. 11 and 16 with a few blocks and steals while guarding their big man. Love that guy.

Yeap. Solid game by the team.

Is Chancellor White injured?

White suffered a knee injury earlier this year, prior to season. Apparently he will take a medical redshirt

Most impressive thing to me tonight was how the guys answered Rice’s runs.

I was expecting a Rice run under 5 to go. Cajuns were up 11 at that point. Nice to fend that off, especially on the road. Fouls ended up 20-13, second half called fairly even which was nice.
JMU should come in the dome undefeated and rank January 4th. Darn shame classes not in session, think the students would turn out for this one.

Agree....Rice is about where most Sun Belt teams are at. Being a 2-3 seed is very doable. Stay on opposite side of bracket from JMU and ????.....very doable.
I also said similar after our Texas State win in football.
A clear path to SBC Championship was there. ZC was now the starter......The Result? Lost 4 of next 5

Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Overall solid win tonight. As others mentioned, it was nice to see the inside game shine in the 2nd half rather than relying on the 3 pointers.
Let’s enjoy the break and then get ready for conference play starting with Marshall.
-
Re: Louisiana MBB vs Rice
Solid play on both ends of the court. Good job by the coaching staff tonight to keep control of the game.

I liked the look of their fieldhouse and wish we had that intimate venue. What, exactly, is so great about the Cajundome for basketball when 2500 fans are there?
I wonder if it would be possible to install a drop ceiling for basketball to make it more intimate and take out the upper level. Something that could easily be removed for concerts and larger events.

Yes, I forget the injury, but he got hurt in preaseason workouts and is out for the year (probably). Sorry for the lame info but I didn't see anybody else reply.
