SBC, while improving, still has a long way to go before claiming to be top of the G5, IMO. What they do have going for it is it's recruiting grounds, regionalization, and natural rivalries. The trick is going to be keeping it together. I think the east will eventually break off to join the remnants of the ACC.

You do realize the SBC had winning records vs. all G5 Conferences in head-head matchups? Again, there is a reason we have 12 teams bowling…because we won so many non-conference games. Like I said, all the metrics and statistics prove the SBC was the top G5. In fact, the SBC was closer to the lowest rated P5 than the second highest rated G5, the MW.Quote:

JMU is getting absolutely worked by Air Force. At one point in the season I thought it would have been cool to play them in a bowl game. Now I’m glad we didn’t. I could only imagine what their offense would look like against the Cajuns D.
Only 2 of the 6 losses were by double digit scores. Very competitive games. GAST doing a number on USU.
