With all that we have heard about East side of the Basin this year, Coastal is Two spots behind them @ 7 (D1Baseball) Ranking.

Curious... What's the ruling on this? Seems like the 1 seed would still be home team since we were both home team for game 1. Is it a coin toss if both had same amount of home games thus far?

Question...Mississippi State's RPI is 50. Are they eligible for regionals with them missing their conference tournament?

As with the NCAA postseason tournament, the conference tournament only uses seeding to set home/road for opening round games. Since both teams were home in their respective opening games, there was a coin flip.

There are other rules that apply as you get deeper (more games) into the tournament, but I will not get into those here.

They just need to sit and wait while the better SEC teams play each other, which will improve their RPI without playing a game.

The fact we basically stomped them (anyone really, except ULM of course) 4 in a row is somewhat defying gravity. Not sure I want to tempt fate a fifth time. When we good we good.....
