Re: Louisiana Advances To SBC Match Play; Ortego Finishes Tied For Fourth
Marler was down 3 holes at the turn and made some clutch putts down the stretch. That was really good golf.
Ga Southern is really REALLY good. I hope the guys have something left in the tank!
Playing for championships is pretty fun

It would be awesome to get this SBC title.

Last last season to a championship would be remarkable.

Hopefully GA So got cold and stiff sitting in the club house. Or that only us old people that happens to?

Or too many colorado koolaids?
Ga Southern is #26 in the nation. Had one guy playing in the Masters. They're for real.

Team had an okay fall and has really struggled this spring. While talented, they haven’t shown a lot of depth and have really struggled to find a 4th and 5th guy in the lineup. Until this week.
Got 4 scores all 3 rds of stroke play and clutched up this morning. Really happy for Theo and his guys. Hopefully they can play well this afternoon. Ga Southern is really good (their #1..Carr played in the Masters a couple weeks ago).

What did the guy that played in the Masters shoot in his match play round?

Re: Louisiana Advances To SBC Match Play; Ortego Finishes Tied For Fourth
For those wondering, Cajuns last Team Conference Championship was 2007.
They also won in 1993 and 1997.

Re: Louisiana Advances To SBC Match Play; Ortego Finishes Tied For Fourth
And to highlight the David vs Goliath nature of this Matchplay situation:
Individually, average score to par, in the conference, Ga Southern has 3 of the top 5 (all under par)!
Louisiana best average score to par is Malan Potgieter (72.47) at 14th in conference. Next best is Eli Ortego (73.03) at 28th.

Geaux Cajuns!!!
Really good stuff! Just one question that doesn't matter. I saw one player with a push cart. Considering how many holes they're playing, why wouldn't more players choose to not carry their clubs if they don't have to?

Push carts should not be allowed in tournament play! And that's why Will Skipp lost. The golf god's rained down wrath.

I think it's a tie between GaSouth and SoAl for taking the most time to play a shot!!

Infuriating. Big Putt there for Charlie Flynn. Gotta believe Stripe Sheaux Ortego bounces back after a few tough approach shots. He's been playing great golf.
Cajuns are in this thing.

We're starting to lose ground. Lag putting has lost us a couple of holes.

Wonder if they're feeling the pressure or getting tired. Lot of golf today. Very tentative around the greens right now.

it’s golf
Note: Lafayette is a sponsor of the Sunbelt Championship where Louisiana is a participant.
It must be tough to repeatedly go out on a limb and consistently being wrong.
