Bull shat….
Friday sets the tone for the weekend. Dude comes out and shuts the rubbers down Friday night we have all the momentum. But hey that’s why the staff gets paid the big bucks and I’m batching on an Internet forum.

Right. And it’s about winning this 5th best conference in baseball and we still have a shot. Mid week game would be nice but hey let’s win this conference.
Re: BB G3: Louisiana vs Troy
Deggs sounded unfazed in his postgame interview. Talked about "weathering the storm." I get wanting to not panic, but we tilt to the other extreme IMO where we almost come off too nonchalant. That mentality has been a concern of mine ever since we slept walked through High Point. We are just way too comfortable with playing inconsistent baseball.
Theut and Debarge are out, but c'mon man. 15 free passes in a Friday night game is not being "in the midst of a storm." Neither is hitting 4 guys in 1 inning. Neither is striking out 12+ times in each of the first two games of a series against a team where pitching isn't their strong suit. We have played the type of ball that will not get you wins against tough competition for the vast majority of this season. I understand trusting the process, but at some point, accountability and holding yourself to a standard have to come in to play.
Re: BB G3: Louisiana vs Troy
Be careful what you wish for. Burning Rawls on a Friday night and losing 1-0, 2-1 is the makings for a sweep. We can’t hit good pitching at this point. Would hate to kill our chances at a Saturday or Sunday win that way. Just playing a bit of devils advocate here. I do not think Hammond is the Friday guy.

We average almost 7 runs on Fridays. I would think 6 runs is plenty for Rawls to work with.
Re: BB G3: Louisiana vs Troy
With everyone healthy I do this
Rawls-McGehee-Nezuh
Hammond/moody first out of the pen
3B - Marusak
2B- taylor
Ss- Debarge
C- Brock
Cf- Rocco
Rf- hood
Lf- Higgs
1B- zambo/Lejeune platoon
DH- robichaux

It was more of an indictment of our hitting. I say Rawls, McGeehee, Nezuh. And put Connor Higgs in the lineup!
Re: BB G3: Louisiana vs Troy
I was able to catch game 3 but would someone mind updating me on Debarge so I don't have to dig in the threads please.

I’m with you. But I would flip Hood and Marusak.
No way Hood can hit 6th.
And while Max has started to hit some HRs, his OB% and K% are still pretty bad. Having a dude near the bottom that runs into one now and then is a good thing.
Or lead Debarge off with Hood 3rd.
Re: BB G3 Final : Louisiana 2, Troy 1
Our problem is not they guys that are out even though Debarge is one of them. I truely believe that. There is plenty enough talent to win with any combination of players. We just not doing it for whatever reason. We have won with these players all year. So for me, I dont buy into what Deggs is selling. Is it a little bit tougher? Yes. Would Debo lengthen the lineup a little? Yes. Would Theut give is more depth on mound ? Yes.

I heard the same interview and I agree with this post. What the hell do debarge and Brock out have to do with a Friday night starter that can’t get out the fourth inning all the time. What does we are in a storm have to do with pitchers who can’t throw a dang strike or hit five guys in one inning. I would rather see Landry Wilkerson come in and throw 86 mph at least it’s strikes. Steven cash had no problem throwing strikes the other night. It’s all pitching we have to figure it out soon or coastal Texas state and southern miss will wipe us out.

Robichaux should have been leading off for the past month. .500 plus OBP going into today. Not even an argument.
Re: BB G3 Final : Louisiana 2, Troy 1
It seems that the Sun Belt front office/web site believes that we were swept by Troy this weekend.
