I was at that game in Birmingham. The controversial play involved Brett Smith and unfortunately I could not see the play from where I was. CDEB was sitting a few rows behind me and I think he was able to see it. I really did not know what happened until I saw the replay.

But if you don't win that championship you stay home no matter how good you are. The belt is a one bid league. It is all about the tourney.

It’s about 3 games in March…but the rest of the season is the difference between a 16 seed and a 12 seed…which then can make the difference in having 4-5 games in March instead of just 3.

Re: Win streak will go on and on
If we keep this winning streak going and finally lose in the Championship game, we may open some eyes . . .

Not if your goal is to build a basketball program.

Hosting an NIT game or two wouldn't suck, either.

We learned that being rated better doesn’t get you a home game in the NIT. Just remember LilWilly

Jumped to the NET bracket page on that site...bids per conference projected.
American 2 (with #1 Houston)
ACC 5
Big 12 8
Big East 5
Big 10 9
MWC 5
PAC12 2
SEC 7
WCC 2
All you others 1 each
How far the PAC12 has fallen. It looks more and more each day they will be the odd man out when the P5 shuffles to 64 teams. Other than folks in the PST zone, who gives a flip? When polls show half of Californians want to move away, the PAC12 is on death watch.

Big 10 is an absolute joke with that number. They are down this year.

Down? They have 6 of 10 teams in the top 25 including 3 in the top 10. all 10 have winning records. They just took 7 of 10 games from the SEC. All 10 are in the top 70 net rankings including 7 in the top 25 and 8 in the top 50.

The Big 12 just took 7 of 12 from the SEC.

Re: Win streak will go on and on
ironically i just saw a mid major being advertised for having second longest active win streak in hoops, but dont recall our actual longest active streak in football being mentioned. (also i believe we more than doubled the nearest second place streak)

Nope. That would be impossible. The Big 12 currently only has 10 teams. That same day 4 SEC teams played each other. Vandy played A&M and South Carolina played Georgia.
Unless vandy and South Carolina we were traded to the SEC without any of us knowing.

A little confused here I said in my original post 7/10. He corrected me to 7/12. I then showed him it was 7/10. My point is the Big 12 is not down this year considering they just beat was some people consider the top 1 or 2 conference i the country in 7 of 10 games.
The ACC and the PAC are definitely down this year.

You can’t point out someone’s error than make a glaring one of your own.

What glaring mistake did I make?

Re: Win streak will go on and on
Coach Marlin sees no conundrum . . . he sees a great team that is going places . . . Cajun fans should see the same . . .

There is absolutely zero blunt that this team is good. There is zero doubt that this program is mediocre at best.
If we are going to retain Marlin we should cut his salary in half and take that $400k and commit it to an NIL collective for basketball and get better players. More players like Jordan Brown. Or use the $400k for better home games. Because we are absolutely not getting our money’s worth for having good years 1/5 years.

Re: Win streak will go on and on
I'm pretty sure neither the RCAF or the University can pay NIL . . . if no one wants to play in our gym, you can't make them come . . . much ado about nothing . . . enjoy the ride, its much more fun . . .
