Those are the fair weather fans who quit. When they quit they type instead.

Needed to be said and that’s the attitude you have to have. Thanks Robe.
This is the coach you idiots want to get rid of. A guy that is self aware and taught this shllty fan base how to have standards.

My bad, I wasn’t commenting about today.

Robe is #54 all time wins at 1115. That’s a .611 winning percentage. I’m aware that some of his seasons at McNeese he wasn’t listed as head coach. Not sure about the numbers or percentages in those seasons.
That’s some rarefied stats for people to want to get rid of. Still many thinking he’s more interested in proving he’s right about Talbot than fixing his weak spot. I don’t know for a fact but think he’s still got the fire to win and knows how. Many said the same thing about Jim Mora when he kept his son on the staff. He went on to have a strong career after resigning as Saints head coach.
Re: Maggard Has Confidence in Robichaux
Honest question: what percentage of the baseball fanbase that regularly attends games wanted Tony fired this year?
My best guess would be less than 10% at most, but maybe I’m missing it.

Even that seems high. ... To me.
Re: Maggard Has Confidence in Robichaux
If Dr. Maggard starts running the UL Athletic department based on what is said on this or any other website, that is when I will know UL has no chance to succeed!!! Getting rid of Tony Robichaux would be like if the Saints would have fired Sean Payton after his three back-to-back loosing seasons. Ridiculous!

Is that your argument? Robe or rogue? The only thing that matters is can Robe regain a outstanding program. Integrity and winning does not rest only with Robichaux. If that were the case it’s time to shut things down.

A bit harsh there, my friend. I dont think holding a coach to a high standard is wrong, even if he is the one who set the standard. I also think Tony agrees with me.

No one has suggested he should. What was said is basically that good ADs stay on top of the situation in their department and make sure that coaches hold to the standard expected of them. When any sport tanks to the degree that baseball has over the last four years, the coach should be on a rather warm seat.

You know I wasn't talking about you. It was for the trolls. I know your position and I respect your reasoning. I personally don't think it's time to panic, but I am very concerned. As you already know. I think we have personality problems on the roster. I think while JT and FREE are good at evaluating talent, they are not good at all at evaluating personalities. It's been my biggest gripe since 2016. I think Robe not being on the rode for the last couple seasons has hurt a lot.
My point is, I do not think Tony is the problem. We can debate brand of baseball until the cows come home (and I'd argue that Robe has shown some flexibility on that issue over the past 5 years with Deggs and now Wells) but as far as leadership and ability to right the ship, Robe, IMHO, is still the man for this job.
And by the way, I wholeheartedly support Maggard putting pressure on the Tony & the baseball staff.
Re: Maggard Has Confidence in Robichaux
When did Robe stop recruiting and evaluating?

So for those who don’t believe we should move on from Robe, I have an honest question...How many more subpar seasons will it take for you to change your mind?
