Very interesting...

WKU fans have assured me, and all others willing to read that Bobby Patrino is a changed man, wanting to be near his children. In addition he has some pretty stiff penalties for leaving this season. Yea, we know, we know. I recall stAte fans also feeling somewhat bullet proof with Malzahn.
When the right elements come together your coach will leave regardless of all the buy outs, and other seemingly strong barriers.
Louisville started interviewing candidates. Do we know if Hud put his name in for consideration or interviewed? I find it hard to imagine they wouldn't at least grant him an interview if he wanted it.
I really, really don't want Hud to leave... but Orgeron would win here.
Lots of interesting things there. Hud's name with Louisville, former Cajun assistant Brent Pry mentioned, and Terry Joseph, who may be the reason we lost the kid to Nebraska, is leaving Lincoln for Texas A&M. I wonder if we are back in the mix for the player.
WKU has a presser scheduled Thursday to make the announcement. It looks like OC Jeff Brohm will be named head coach at Western Kentucky and Petrino will return to Louisville. For those that didn't know, Petrino's daughter is on the women's golf team at Louisville. So lets remove Hud name from this list and focus on recruiting...rumors are not good at this time of year.
Outstanding!!!!! Another year with Hud. Start the campaign for a fourth ring.
Fantastic news!
source?
Awesome
Deja vu.
Petrino interviewed at Louisville today. Two season ticket holders at WKU that are friends have been told that WKU will have a presser Thursday unless negotiations fall apart. They were also told Jeff Brohm will get promoted from within once Louisville makes it official. Nothing is official until the official announcement is made, but I will take the word from season ticket holders at Western Kentucky over internet bloggers that are suggesting Orgeron to UL and Hudspeth to Vanderbilt.
Orgeron would recruit his butt off but he has some baggage.
Ole Miss, Tenneessee and USC all hit with NCAA recruiting infractions while he was employed, including one as a recruiting coordinator. His small sample size of success at USC doesn't erase his record at Ole Miss in my mind. I have no interest in an coach that is looking for a place to retire and no one else is willing to hire as a head coach.
I'm not interested in him as our coach at all. We have mutual friends with us being from the same area. Many personal issues as well.
USAToday backs up your info reporting that WKU has already interviewed Jeff Brohm to take over should Petrino bolt.
