You surely don't want to kiss them off as he did from day one...but at the same time you can't let them run your program. As I said earlier, they don't seem to care that what Marlin did was best for the remaining players. They are not always of the highest character that bunch.

Re: Ragin' Cajuns head to postseason
School just sent out release: The Cajuns are playing host to Rice in the opening round of the CIT on Wednesday in the Cajundome.

Re: Ragin' Cajuns head to postseason
Will season ticket holders get first choice at tickets? Anyone knows how this works?

Re: Ragin' Cajuns head to postseason
Rice finished the season 17-15. Their best win was the same as ours, which was UCF, who is in the semifinals of the CUSA tourney and currently own a 22-9 record. They sound like a very similar team as us.

I remember that game (have it on VHS)...Rice shot 33 free throws and we shot 5. Dwayne Mitchell threw down a couple hard dunks though in the 5 point loss

Jay, u mind going into more detail about the AAU comment?

They're in ... Cajun hoops to host postseason game - The INDsider
But who can blame the Ragin’ Cajuns for not holding it in? A program that almost took postseason play for granted a couple of decades ago hasn’t played after its conference tournament since 2003. “We are excited about playing in the CIT,” Cajun ...

Ok so it wasn't so recent. I think that's also the last year I seen you on a roulette table, B. Seems like it was only yesterday.

Season ticket holders can get their same seats and can pick them up at the dome. I am not sure about any extra tickets. You have until Tuesday at noon I think to purchase them.

I understand political correctness, but we were in postseason in 04 and 05. I didn't dream about that game against Louisville.

Slappy, we discussed this in our chat last week and this goes beyond suspending two athletes.

Correct, UL will have an up hill battle recruiting Louisiana and have been.

I think losing records have been the biggest obstacle to recruiting.
Winning records make you attractive and trumps any vendetta pub.

I think Jay's blog pretty much laid it out. Specifics really don't matter because the only ones that can change this is Coach Marlin and his staff by winning, and building better relations in Louisiana.

Greene was out of control

He is. Not every AAU coach is a butt, but many are and seem at times to be more interested in what's best for them...not the kids they coach...and surely not the colleges their kids are getting recruited by. I don't consider Dave in that group.
