I’m actually in the minority on here. The guy has influence and was giving us credit. I don’t care what people call us anymore. THE WAR IS OVER!!!!! Jay should have been cooler with his response. The haters in this state all like to pile on us about being petty over this type of stuff. Don’t give them any reason to be against us.

…..WRONG….war is NOT OVER….we had some good momentum but that has sagged…..as I mentioned in another post, even in our own house!

Boomer is right. When in our own damn stadium you hear “at Lafayette” over the PA system, and our freshmen class gets indoctrinated with the same, the war is far from over.

Ok…take that beef up with the University. But we are in for a generational timeframe when it comes to winning over the state. It’s time to act like we’ve been there on a public forum, especially from the voice of Louisiana.

It annoys everyone outside of our fanbase. Believe me, 5+ years ago I was a Champion, as was Jay, over the name battle. That war is over…act the part. That’s all.

I agree. We literally have players on our team with University of Lafayette on their bio on twitter

Seems if Jay cared so much about the name he would have been in a better position to have made more headway much sooner than the rest of RP
