Re: UL Receives Record-Breaking $87M Grant
PS I can remember a few decades back when we were unfairly passed up for a $1M grant, and that was a big deal...

Times ... they are a changing.
Re: UL Receives Record-Breaking $87M Grant
An $87 million dollar grant and $7 million dollar donation given by the Moncus Foundation = $94 million obtained by the University this week. I'd say UL had a pretty good week!

Separation…
With the Neckster getting a JBE lame duck appointee as president, and the two othrr state wide classified universities, Southern and UNO, not a blip on the radar, good years ahead for UL.
The true little brothers, the state regional universities, can Lafayette UL all day long…they’re falling further behind every day.

Plus academic recruiting will get much better with three new academic buildings in the pipeline. I am really excited about our academic future. I’d feel better if we had won the football game tonight. So far neither offensive, defensive or special team coaches are getting tenure.
Can you give some details of this? I know they have the addition of Madison planned for the new Quad, but what other 2 new buildings are going up? And I wonder what is planned for the existing Wisdom space, once they move across the street?

Is there a way to change the entire fee structure so that part of tuition can serve the purpose of fees and thus be under TOPS?
Is it just semantics.... what is called fee and what is called tuition?
But I don't think to get to the athletics fee there needs an increase in fees just a reallocation of some of the groups that get the current fees
