I can't wait for the season to start, marketing is in overdrive this week. Just today I received a mailer piece, have received two emails about different things including the rcaf priority lines at games and seen a couple of facebook posts from Ragin Cajun Athletics. I don't twitter so I don't know how many tweets went out but I would assume there were some. Also the team has done a great job on their facebook page this year with daily updates and hype videos.

The added section on the student side near Congress predates the bowl build

Right, exactly what I said. Years ago the stadium was expanded, it was only on the east side. Each end of the east side was flanked with more seats. Nothing on the west was added until the recent south end zone bowl.
