Re: Kadarius Miller - Football Commit
There was a recruiting magnet here and it wasn’t CBN, but he did go with CBN to Florida. CMD needs that type of magnet. Hopefully until they can find diamonds in the rough.
A lot of these players look like good athletes with size but late development.

You would have to be blind not to see a dip in our recruiting. I like taking a few chances on some guys, diamonds in the rough. You can't build a program on it. Very concerning. Hope there will be some surprises.

Who was the magnet?

Actually it was Napier. He created the atmosphere and the draw to the Cajun Program like never before. He had the pedigree behind him, and knew what he was doing.

This is weak, so glad we are beating out fcs schools for recruits versus p5 schools. I thought des was a great recruiter, after all he recruited half the players on the team.
Quite impressive how big of a nose dive our recruiting rankings have taken since des took over. We are heading back to bustle days except with a much much much stronger sun belt conference

But he does get you in the door. Can make a pitch if you can't even get them to answer the door bell. If your a 30 year old looking head coach from a private school in a rural part of the state you need a well respected person that can connect to the community.

No, they are going for money now. That's why you are seeing athletes leave in the portal, even at winning programs.

He's 6-2, 300 right now. He's NT or 1 tech. Miller was a kid the Cajun's were interested in when he graduated from HS while Napier was coach. His grades were not great, and he was supposed to graduate in 2021. He's now considered strictly a 1 or 3 tech, he provides you with no versatility to play any other position on the line. Thus, he wasn't highly recruited this year. He will be fine in the rotation inside with Wise, Hazard and Hutchinson. They are on another JC DL that has been offered by Baylor and others.
