Re: Year in Review: Bryan Maggard (Athletic Director)
The retention of Marlin was bad enough but it was the BS excuses and reasons of why he kept him which is what bumped him down for me.

There is still a Lack of communication from the athletic department
Keeping a dead-end coach than making up stuff for his reasons
We dont even know if CF construction will begin in Dec 2022 or 2222
So, should he be fired, in your opinion? In my opinion, a 4 is firing range.
I have him as an 8, so obviously I don't think he should be fired, but there are 10 people out there that have him at 4 or below. Just wondering what their range is for someone to be fired.

I dont think he should be fired, now if he is a 4 or below for multiple years than we need to have different conversation. This is a score for this year not his overall job performance at UL.

It was a year in review. Obviously one's overall job performance is more fluid in nature and considers many other factors outside of some in this calendar year so you can value this year poorly but give an overall positive review for his tenure.

We have shown overall growth in sports and recruiting as well as facilities and I think Dr. Maggard has managed funds way better than his predecessor in every year since he got here. I give him a 9

Was thinking the same thing Zeph. Overall has done an amazing job here. 2 things are inexcusable to me: Retaining Marlin with the BS reasons and the lack of communication. Still feel the good far outweighs the bad.

MAGA positives: the football team starting year with the longest winning streak in the country is a Yuge one.....baseball, softball and VB also trending well.
His low level performance issues are MBB and golf.
My score: 8

One could assume that Hud and Lotief gave Dr. M a 1. I would like to meet that third person who gave our AD a 1

9er here! Who would have ever thought we would have ended the last two football seasons ranked 16th in the nation.
I had the chance to see that in my lifetime. Just remarkable.
It was hard to write that check for basketball.
