Re: May 1 softball rpi rankings
I love it when LSU has to beg their fans to show up so they won't be outnumbered at home.

This has been my concern. If LSU does host, it will be one of the lower seeds ... and I think there is a decent chance the Cajuns are slotted there. The good news ... there are two other regionals considered bus trips for the Cajuns (<= 400 miles) ... College Station and Waco (Tuscaloosa is 403 miles and they are not a lock to host). Texas State will likely travel to one ... and the Cajuns would be eligible for the other (San Marcos is 403 miles from Norman). Texas A&M would be ideal as they will be a middle national seed ... possibly Top 8 and probably no worse than 10 or 11.
The committee will need to find a slot for #2 seed Ole Miss. But unless the Cajuns host, they are considered a flight.
The CSM bracket is not fully optimized. With that field, I do not see the Cajuns in Kentucky.

Thanks Brian. I would much prefer to head back to Texas. That 13 hour drive to Lexington would be tough.

If they do, I shall see you there.
