Re: Hudspeth unsure 'which direction to go' in starting QB selection
The game is a passing game now. While I love the power running attack in conference, in order to win the big OOC games, we need a passer.

I'm all for the option style spread offense. It can be effective. But it hurts you when you need to throw on a certain down and can't do it. We saw that last year with Broadway's struggles. Please stick with Haack, coach. He is a QUARTERBACK. And he can actually run well. No not as well as Broadway or Gauthier. Or Nixon or Davis. But he can still run. The QB has to be smart and know when to take it himself. It works better when the defense doesn't think the QB will keep the ball.

----I didn't watch a lot of football other than the Cajuns last season---but I love the Miss State Qb from North LA---think it is Dax Presscott (?)---This is what Nixon reminds me of as I see it----The closer Nixon comes to this guy the better his starting chances and yes, the less he can perform to that level the less his starting chances!! But that guy was so very impressive!!!

No offense Boomer… but weren't you a recruiter for the University at some point? If you think Nixon could even somewhat resemble Dax Prescott on the field, your recruiting skills have long passed you by. Sure they have similar builds and styles, but the skills of the two aren't even comparable. Dax can make reads and throw the ball with great accuracy. Nixon is a helluva athlete, not a QB...
