Re: Ron Hudson named UL Offensive Coordinator
I don't know much about his philosophy but I do know the player's respect him a lot. I just hope he brings some creativity to our offense and allows us to be a bit more balanced. Bustle had better have a handle on the gameplan and what's being called. I'd still like to understand why we have a passing game coordinator plus an offensive coordinator when our head coach made his reputation as an offensive guru.

Every team has a passing game coordinator and running game coordinator...most of the time one of these is the offensive coordinator. Even when a team has an offensive guru as head coach they have an OC...Rich Rodriquez has an OC and so does Bobby Petrino. Regardless of who is the OC r DC is they will call the game based on the head coach...Jimbo Fisher is known as an offensive guru but while at LSU he ran a conservative offense. Why, because thats what Saben wanted. Bustle might not be calling plays but I am willing to bet money that he hired someone who will follow a philosophy that he wants because he knows that his job depends on it.

Right on target, the Passing coordinator is a good fit for what Coach Bustle wants the passing game to end up looking like, where he wants to go with it, and I think that Coach Hudson will have the running game in good shape.

Yeah, I know this but Saban was sitting on the sideline in constant contact with upstairs getting and giving input while knowing what is being called at all times. Bustle is sitting on the sidelines with his hands on his knees and slapping everybody on their ass while not being in any direct communication with what is being called in the booth. That is what puzzles me. How can you adjust to your gameplan and know that the plays being called are adhering to what your plan is if you have no communication?

We signal in the plays by hand signals...im sure he knows what those signals are...and he can see by what is being called that the gameplan that he agreed to is being run.

Can anybody tell me of another coach who doesn't wear a headset? None come to my mind and certainly none of respectability?
