That's correct. Personally the only kids that I think should be signing out of high school are the ones that get offered life changing money and the freaks. Some of these kids could be hurting their potential MLB career by playing college ball because they could be in the big leagues at 19 or 20. Jason Heyward and Zack Grienke are a couple that come to mind that made it up rather quickly recently that if they went to college may have not come up until they were 22-23. You could argue that Tim Lincecum is one of those players that should have been in the big leagues at 21 instead of 23 and if he had not played college and gone out of high school he may have been. But those players are few and far between.
IMO there is no way we get him in a Cajun uniform. If he has a solid season he will be drafted in the top 5 rounds and you just can't pass up that kind of money.
there are alot of kids that will enter this years draft that touch 92-93...the diffrence is he is 6ft 4 and a buck ten soaking wet. Scouts will see this a major potential to add on to his frame. i have never seen the kid pitch but ive heard he has pitchability, which is another plus for him. i do agree with Buddy...with that being said they probably gonna have to bring there pocket book with them...this kid has a bright future ahead of him, i hope the best for he and his family
I think you're talking 1M minimum for him to sign.
